• Five months of hands-on practical teaching experience: Most teaching contracts in Vietnam are for the full academic year or 12 months so a semester teaching position is a great way to live and teach in Vietnam for a shorter period.

• In-country support: You’ll have help and guidance throughout your semester teaching position on the ground in Vietnam including an orientation when you first arrive.

– Program specifications:
• Program duration: 5 months
• Teaching Location: Schools affiliated with Royal in Hanoi
• Teaching level: From elementary, intermediate and advance
• Training sessions to help teachers equipped with skills and equipment to step on the podium.

• Teacher duties:
– Teaching English in different subjects to a range of classes for up to 20 face-to-face hours per week under the teaching schedule provided by Royal.
– Student study assessment: testing and assessing students, writing comments on student study results, etc.
– Classroom administration (such as taking attendance, marking homework, reporting grades etc.)
– Preparation of teaching materials and lessons
– Attending trainings, meetings as required
– Participation in after-school activities such as English festivals, English contest, etc.
– Visas and work permits:
Once accepted onto the program, you will receive an invitation letter by email from Royal. We will apply for your visa invitation letter on your behalf.
Your work permit will be obtained on your behalf once in Vietnam. The above documentation – original undergraduate degree certificate, criminal background check, TEFL certificate and passport with at least six months remaining – are all required to apply for the work permit so don’t forgot to bring these. You also have to pass a health check before a work permit can be issued.
